Having a doula by your side during labour and birth can make a world of difference. With continuous emotional support, a doula can help reduce stress and anxiety, leading to a more positive and empowering birth experience. Studies show that having a doula can also lead to fewer unnecessary interventions, greater birth satisfaction, and even shorter labours. It’s about feeling supported, heard, and confident as you bring your baby into the world.
Being a doula is more than just a role for me—it’s a deep passion and calling. Women have an incredible, innate ability to nourish, grow, and birth their babies, but too often, this natural connection is disrupted. Many women share that their trust in their bodies is being taken from them during birth, leaving them feeling powerless, afraid, and overwhelmed. This disconnection is a key factor in the rising rates of birth trauma. It’s time to change that. Women deserve to reclaim their power, to be given the space, knowledge, and confidence to trust in their bodies and birth in their own way.
The Barefoot Birth package is just one example of the support I offer, but your birth experience is unique—so your support should be too. I’m here to help you create a birth journey that feels right for you, and every aspect of my care can be tailored to your needs. Whether you’re looking for more hands-on guidance or simply a reassuring presence, we’ll shape your support plan together, ensuring you feel empowered, confident, and truly heard every step of the way.
The Barefoot Birth Package
3 antenatal meetings in the comfort of your home, each lasting around two hours. These meetings are a chance for us to build a strong connection and explore your birth wishes as a team. We’ll discuss key topics like the physiology of labour and birth, pain management options, and feeding support. If you're planning a home birth, we can also prepare your space to create a calm, supportive environment. Most importantly, these sessions are tailored to you—whether it’s answering questions, easing concerns, or offering guidance wherever you need it most.
Unlimited phone and email support from 34 weeks pregnant. I can also attend your scheduled midwife/hospital appointments, when and if you would like this.
On-call for your birth from 10 days before your due date (38+3), unless otherwise agreed.
Continuous support throughout your labour and birth, ensuring you feel emotionally grounded, empowered, and heard every step of the way. Whether through hands-on comfort measures, breathing techniques, or simply holding space for you, I am there to help you feel in control and supported in bringing your baby into the world on your own terms
