Adjusting to life with a new baby takes time. As the saying goes, "it takes a village to raise a child". In the postnatal period, taking time to recover, slow down and be nourished is vital. As a postnatal doula, my role is to enable you to be the parent you want to be by offering support in whichever way would be helpful for you, whether that's cooking you nourishing meals, light housework or gifting you time to have a bath, or rest.
The support that you would like will be unique to you, but some ideas for what I can do for you are;
Breastfeeding support to help you to gain confidence in the early days
Cooking delicious, nutritious meals for you
Support with baby care, such as helping you to bathe, settle and care for your baby
Helping you to rest after a C-Section
Debrief support for your birth, providing a safe space to talk through your feelings
Light housework, laundry and ironing
Caring for older children or nursery/school pick ups
Caring for your baby to give you time to have a shower or bath, or catch up on some sleep
£300 for one block (12 hours)
or
£25 per hour for ad hoc hours.
You can structure the hours as you wish, however a typical example could be 2-4 hours per session, twice per week, for up to 6 weeks.
Every person requires different support, so please get in touch to discuss your requirements and we can put together a plan which suits you.
